Another wonderful day and a slow start on the house.

This morning I woke up even earlier at the first sign of light and set about arranging all our wedding cards across our enormous mantel before waking Tim and Ruthie for another Nutella and bagel breakfast.

Ruthie took off for her own adventures and Tim and I sat down to make our to-do list and shopping list. As we were getting ready to leave, an enormous truck pulled down our small and windy driveway - it was the top soil ferry! I had been thinking of getting a bag of soil to start my garden beds and then 8 yards appeared in our driveway!

After lunch on Greenbank farm with Joe and Roni, we spent some time running around town trying to find the right post office (no luck) and got a couple pots and pans and basic groceries to keep us going. Also, a water filter as the water here smells strongly of sulfur. Our neighbors who share our driveway include a 20-something girl who has been very friendly and we are getting to know. The young man working on landscaping came by to replace all the screws in all the deck boards - a long and tedious task. Also, our sound-limiting expert came by to evaluate the situation with the downstairs ceilings. Learning a new town takes a lot more time and driving around to get basic things done.
