Finally here!

After almost two weeks navigating the inside passage on a 45' yacht from the '80's, we have finally made it to our dream house! Auntie Ruthie drove all the way up from Eugene, Oregon to welcome us home and help us settle in before taking off for a year in England and Nicaragua. Evidently the wonderful free bus service that goes all over the island doesn't run on Sundays, and most likely not Memorial day either, so we would still be stuck at the Oak Harbor boat docks trying to find a way home if it wasn't for Ruthie. The house was a little tricky to find in the dark at 11:58pm after an exhausting day of traveling, but after driving up and down the road and a few many-pointed turns, we finally found the house where Tim carried me over the threshold to explore inside. At sunrise this morning, we were up again - racing down the 160 steps to the beach and climbing through the upper orchard.

The big goal of the day today was buying our first farm truck. We have found a little Ford Courier with a few aesthetic problems, but a strong engine which should do just fine.
